Urgent! Can you help?

Look at this beautiful, brave boy! Isn't he a little stunner?

He has no family to look after him and he's living under a bush in Paphos, Cyprus. Someone has clearly put some water out for him at some point but it's stagnant and he looks very undernourished. He's lost his right eye completely (I suspect he's had an ulcer which may have caused the loss) and there's clearly an infection in the socket so he really needs treatment as soon as possible. In spite of all this, he's pitifully trusting and very affectionate. I picked him up to fuss him up a bit and he nuzzled straight into me and purred with gratitude and happiness. He's very young and desperately in need of some love, affection and vetenary care but I bet he'd be so grateful to find a family that he'd be no trouble at all once his eye heals.

He's living in the shrubbery on the right hand side of the elevator that goes down to the car park from the fruit market in Paphos. I have a map that I can send to anyone who needs directions.

Do you live in Cyprus? Could you give this little dude a home, even on a temporary basis while he gets well? Are you a vet and based in Cyprus? Would you be prepared to treat him or do you know of somewhere he could get the care he needs? I'd be happy to contribute to the vets bill if someone could take him but we're only here for a short while longer so I can't do much more unfortunately. It's really very upsetting as he's sure to die if that infection takes over so please, re-share, re-post and re-tweet as much as possible. You may not know anyone in Cyprus but one of your friends may do and he really needs help.

Thank you so much for reading

Our News...

I'm delighted to announce that Woody and I were married this morning.

We didn't want a fuss so we quietly took ourselves off to a register office and made our vows to one another during an intimate ceremony which was witnessed by one or two very close friends who have known us both for many years.

The sun shone, I cried and then we spent the rest of the afternoon eating scrummy food and laughing in the company of our wonderful, much loved friends. We couldn't have wished for a better day.

We're off on holiday now but when we get home, we're thinking of rustling up a few sandwiches and having everyone round for a picnic in the garden.

See you when we get back!
